We are looking for a Middle Software Developer for our activities in the field of software development for bioinformatics data. We are looking for a highly motivated person who applies high quality standards in his/her professional employment to join the company. Within our software solutions to analyze and visualize complex bioinformatics data are developed, which is an essential part of the activities of our company.
Job description
You will work in a multidisciplinary team of software developers and bioinformaticians that is in close collaboration with the system administrator. As software developer with a focus on backend, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of user requirements in a service-based distributed architecture.
You will also be responsible to write the unit and integration tests for your developments.
Job requirements
Bachelor- or Master Degree oriented to Information Technology with focus in Software Engineering;
4+ years of experience programming with an object oriented language (preferably Java or Scala);
Experience working in an agile environment. Familiar with version control systems and continuous software integration;
Proven expertise in developing software in a Service Architecture and understanding of REST web services;
Ability to design software solutions from user requirements;
Proven experience with performance optimization of Java/Scala technology based applications in terms of volume of data, speed and latency;
Capable of analyzing and resolving intricate and complex technical challenges applying the most appropriate technology or framework;
Working experience on backend and frontend development;
Proven experience with Spring, Hibernate is desirable;
Working experience on javascript frameworks (preferably vue and react);
Working experience (or specific knowledge) with Cassandra (or other nosql databases) and Spark is desirable;
